Cristiano Ronaldo has passed a message to newly-appointed boss Andrea Pirlo that all Juventus need to bounce back from their disappointment season is critical thinking.

The Old Lady failed to qualify out of the round of 16 in the Champions League following a superior away-goal rule after a 2-2 aggregate scoreline against Lyon.

And the club took a drastic decision barely 24 hours after being dumped out of the competition a Maurizio Sarri was relieved of his duties appointing club legend Pirlo.

Ronaldo took to his Instagram but did not specifically direct it to the new manager but the 35-year-old stressed the importance of change ahead of the coming season.

“The 2019-20 season is over for us, much later than usual but yet sooner than we expected,” Ronaldo wrote on Instagram.

“Now it’s time for reflection, time to analyse the ups and downs because critical thinking is the only way to improve.
