Nyesom Wike, Governor of Rivers state, has said he is very delighted way the electoral process in the Edo governorship election on Saturday went.
Governor Wike made this known while speaking to journalists at a press briefing that held in the government house in Benin, Edo State. Gov. He also added that the party is also happy with the outcomes of the elections.
Wike is the chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s national campaign council for the election.
He also thanked the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies for th role they all played i ensuring a free, fair and credible election in the State. HE also asked for the protection of all officials involved in the electoral process so as to safeguard the sanctity of the electoral process.
Recall that the Edo State Gubernatorial elections held in Edo State on the 19th of September 2020 across all Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state. The elections was won by the incumbent Governor of Edo State, Governor Godwin Obaseki. He ran on the platform of the PDP.
