There is commotion currently in the House of Representatives as members of the host communities producing oil and gas in the country came to blows at the public hearing of the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB).
It started when host communities were called to make a presentation that held at the House of Representatives.
An itsekiri leader stood up to talk but was opposed by other persons. It led to pandemonium and fight and it took the intervention of the police to break it up.
The ad-hoc committee, led by Chief Whip, Tahiru Munguno later allowed each party to speak.
